Caleb S. Baker – Managing Partner
Caleb began working with the GB Financial Group part-time in 2005 and joined full-time in 2008. Caleb was initially brought on to further develop and expand the financial modeling, product analysis, and data-analysis at GB Financial. He built out GBFG’s proprietary modeling system for premium finance which is currently used by a number of mid-size, nationally chartered banks around the country. He has consulted on product design, comparison, and analysis for for Life Insurance Carriers, lenders, and insurance firms. He has published white papers, case studies, and articles focused on Insurance products and the various applications of Life Insurance, with a primary focus on financed life insurance to assist in estate planning and business succession.
In 2010, he helped launch Windward Capital Partners. WCP was the first firm to vertically integrate expertise, design, and execution in both life insurance and premium finance in the life insurance space. Working with GBFG, WCP allows our clients to have a solution that has been designed holistically from the beginning, rather than put together piecemeal.
From the beginning, our goal as a firm was always to have an exclusive, proprietary product designed for long-term traditional premium finance and issued by a top level carrier. In 2012, we achieved this goal. In addition to the technical side, Caleb’s responsibilities include management and operations for GB Financial. Caleb continues to remain focused on providing our clients with the most efficient, well-designed, and tailor-made insurance solutions.
Caleb graduated with honors from Gettysburg College in Gettysburg, PA and from IAU, Aix-en-Provence, France. In addition to his studies, Caleb worked to develop a chapter of the charity organization, “Circles of Support” in Gettysburg, which assists low-income single mothers in finding jobs and provides emotional support as well as weekly dinners and childcare.
Caleb and his wife Suzanne live in Cambridge. He is fluent in French and is an active member of both The French Cultural Center of Boston and the Boston Sommelier Society. In his free time Caleb enjoys cooking, reading, and running.
